Have you ever worked at home? Maybe most of the students’ answers are no. It’s necessary to teach your children the importance of doing housework at an early age.
By following children, even as young as two, to help out with housework, you not only help them learn the basic life skills they will need as adults, but also make them feel like they are a necessary part of the family.
Christine Field, the writer of Life Skills for Kids, says it’s important for parents to ask children to take part in household chores.
“When my son was about one year old, he loved to be with me when I was folding clothes,” said Field, a full-time mom, to the newspaper. “Of course, he wasn’t any help. But I would still give him towels to wash. Now Daniel is three years old, and he’s our towel man! He feels like he is needed.”
Letting your children help you with tasks also gives you time to teach them and feel close to them.
Turn housework into a game; kids will be more active to do chores if fun is part of the job.

“Class, tomorrow I want you to bring a cup of macaroni(通心粉) for our craft class, OK?”
I was afraid of the next day because I knew we had no macaroni at home. Living in an alcoholic environment, we never had too much of anything except beer bottles.
I went home after school. Where could I find macaroni? I knew that the local bottle shop gave ten cents for a beer bottle, so I decided to sell some bottles to get money for macaroni.
I started collecting the bottles and sold them. I earned eighty cents. Although I did my best, I still had no macaroni for my craft class.
“Weren’t you listening when I asked you to bring it, John?” my teacher asked.
I was embarrassed. I didn’t know what to say and other children started laughing. Then a little girl, Rosalyn, who sat beside me turned to me and said, “You can have some of mine.” She gave a bag of macaroni to me.
I never took her macaroni or thanked her for her kindness. However, I often think about Rosalyn and the way she turned to save me that day. Once, anger and hurt were always full of my life. I kept kind people like Rosalyn away, but after that class, I changed my attitude. I thanked all the people like Rosalyn that made this world a better place to live in.

Talking to my sister the other day about the pain in her back, I found out an anatomy (解剖学) book. I wanted to work out exactly what body parts were close to her pain. We never worked it out and the pain went away, but it did make me realize I needed a better anatomy book.
I’ve discovered an even better choice. A reader suggested WinkingSkull.com, an anatomy website used by medical students to study various body parts. If you’re just looking for a general anatomy lesson, this site probably isn’t suitable for you. It goes into detail and breaks down different parts of the body into many pictures.
What’s fun about this site is that once you find a picture that interests you, you can turn the body part on or off and take a quiz to test your knowledge. The test will compare your results to other site users. Registration (注册) is free. It’s a technical medical site, so I did a terrible job on the quiz part and worked out pretty quickly how to cheat. I’m glad to have found it when I do want a little more information about the body.

House rabbits are usually lovely but easily scared animals. As a result, you will need extra care and time in order to win their trust.
Choose a quiet place. There you and your rabbit can spend some time together. If you have other pets, keep them out of the room, so your rabbit doesn’t become scared or stressed. This is a good start to win your rabbit’s trust.
Be patient. It could take you an hour or more to be close to her.
Pretend not to care. After some time, the pretty pet can jump on your back, kiss your nose or touch your hand. Always remember not to care about her too much. Just go on with your thing. Of course, don’t mind if she tries to take food from your hand and runs off to eat it.
Copy what rabbits do. Put your nose to your rabbit’s nose as she does so. The nose-to-nose action is often a useful way of winning your rabbit’s trust. However, if your rabbit is aggressive, be careful not to be bitten on your nose.
